Worth knowing

Only .docx is supported. Open old .doc files in Word and save them as .docx first.
Comments, tracked changes, headers and footers are left out.
Embedded images are not included in the Markdown.

Questions

Are Word heading styles kept?

Yes. Heading 1, Heading 2 and so on become Markdown headings one level below the file name, so the outline of your document survives. Links keep their text but not the web address.

What about tables?

Simple tables become Markdown tables. Merged cells are flattened, so check complex tables after converting.

Is my document uploaded?

No. The conversion runs inside your browser. Docuflat only counts how many files you convert, for the daily limit.
