Good for
- 7/12 (satbara) and 8-A land record extracts
- Gujarat government resolutions and notices
- Gujarati newspapers and community publications
- Business letters, quotations and bills
Tips for better Gujarati results
- Gujarati and English are selected together, because land records and business papers often mix both. Gujarati digits are recognised as Gujarati digits, so check numbers carefully if you need them in 0–9 form.
- Photocopies of photocopies lose the small vowel signs. Use the best copy you have.
- Tables in land records come out as lines of text. For a clean table, paste the result into a spreadsheet or ask your AI assistant to rebuild it.
How it works
- Drop a scanned PDF, photo or screenshot into the box above, or paste an image.
- Pages that already contain text are read directly. Scanned pages go through Gujarati OCR in your browser.
- Download the result as a Markdown (.md) file, or copy it and paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Word or Google Docs.
Questions
Is this Gujarati OCR free?
Yes. Without an account you can convert 10 scanned pages a day, and a free account gives you 30. Pro removes the limit.
Are my Gujarati documents uploaded anywhere?
No. OCR runs inside your browser. The Gujarati language data is downloaded to your browser once, but your files never leave your device.
How accurate is Gujarati OCR?
Clean, printed Gujarati text at 300 dpi converts well. Handwriting, faint photocopies, stamps and decorative fonts reduce accuracy, so check names, numbers and dates against the original.
