Tips for better Marathi results
- Choose Marathi rather than Hindi for Marathi text, even though the script looks the same.
- Marathi and English are both selected. Remove English for purely Marathi pages to avoid stray Latin letters.
- Scan at 300 dpi. Low-resolution scans tend to merge neighbouring conjuncts.

Clean, printed Marathi text at 300 dpi converts well. Handwriting, faint photocopies, stamps and decorative fonts reduce accuracy, so check names, numbers and dates against the original.
